Though she's only been making Second Life machinima for a few months (by her estimation), Lyric Lundquist has already shown brilliant talent with the form, creating numerous short movies full of radiant color and deep textures, images perfectly matched to ambient music and crisp editing. More key, they all share a distinct and immediately recognizable personal style that's sensual and atmospheric with a subversive, pagan flair. It's difficult for me to select one of my favorites from the nine currently hosted on her YouTube account, but this one above is a good representation. To get the full effect, click through here and watch her works in "high quality" mode. Warning: some of Lyric's videos are possibly not work-safe viewing. If only because co-workers who glimpse them as they walk by your desk are liable to end up gawking over your shoulder.
Update, 3/4: Ms. Lundquist's Flickr page, by the way, has more machinima and assorted gorgeous goodness.
Excellent work.
