Here's another open source viewer that integrates the Lindens' dynamic shadow code: Shadow Viewer 1.23 for Windows and Linux, from Cool Viewer coder Boy Lane. As with KirstenLee's Shadowdraft, it's a very early build, so caveat emptor. I first read about it on the blog of machinima gurus IllClan, and since they're enthused, so am I. Clan artist and SL veteran Damien Fate shot some impressive test footage with the Viewer, like this noir-ish (and Nietzschean) shot of a Loco Poco planning world domination. (Least it looks that way with shadows.)

Just beware, I found that with some skins, if the designer hasn't taken the system makeups to 0, it shows through the skin. If the skin is non mod..then you are out of luck and stuck with blue lips and eyeshadow :)) Also, when I go into appearance, I crash. However, if u are aware of these (and other) glitches, it runs smoothly and can take a nice shot in snapshot, unlike the latest Kirsten's (S17), which will take a pic, just without the shadows.
