The technical issues involved are a bit above my paygrade, but evidently the latest release candidate is causing some skins to display with fairly bizarre results. (As seen on the right.) I do know it's causing consternation, because I've been sent this JIRA bug entry several times. The Lindens say they're working on a fix, but to judge by the JIRA's comment thread, there's some dispute on what solution should be implemented. Go here to get involved.

The eyebrows can be fixed much like the default hair. You have to turn it off. Set all the sliders to zero that have pertain to eyebrow density and color. The rest is shaping and that is still okay.
I'm having a problem with eyelashes. The SL eyelashes are now too thick in the release viewer and even at zero, it looks as if my avatar has thick, caked eyeliner on.

Clearly this is a LL plot to make "adult" interactions less appealing to noobs who'll never figure out the client settings.
Unless they are into avatars with Angelina's lips AND Groucho's eyebrows ;P

I didn't comment in the jira because it's now a poo throwing jamboree in there.
I don't understand why any layering in Second Life is an arbitrary list order. Can Linden Labs not sort lists/arrays on the fly?
Anyone who has used even Powerpoint knows that layer ordering was solved long ago (in the early 90s!) with options such as "bring to front" and "send to back" which allows for simple z order layer customization.
