Patent Arcade: CASE UPDATE: TASER V LINDEN RESEARCH
For unexplained reasons, the good people at the Taser Corporation filed a Notice of Voluntary Case Dismissal against Linden Lab/Research, and just like that, the trademark infringement case is closed. (For now at least.) However, life in Crack Alley, the urban roleplaying MMO which inadvertently helped inspire the lawsuit, goes on, with crooked cops zapping thugs with devices handily re-labeled Non-Lethal Stun Devices. If you haven't read it yet, check out Ms. Kanomi Pikajuna's in-depth NWN review of this somewhat subversive, definitely interesting mimi-MMO. (Via VWN.)
Fools and charlatans!
Don't these dummies realise that its not real thing and the fear from simulated use emboldens their product image and thus sales?
Oh they do now -they withdrew it.
