Friday is the day I devote New World Notes coverage to posts around the SL blogosphere, which always seems to be larger than even Second Effects' exhaustive list. What are some favorite metaverse-related posts worth reading, and new blogs worth adding to my RSS feed? (Yes, wanton self-promotion encouraged.)

Yesterday I posted in Oh!VirtualLearning about the ISTE Eduverse Talks episode I'll be doing with Peggy Sheehy, Andrew Wheelock, and Marianne Malmstrom, along with host Kevin Jarrett, come this next Tuesday, June 9, 5 pm SLT. I think it'll be an excellent way to spend an hour and there's a SLurl at O!VL! http://scottsecondlife.blogspot.com is the place!

Dr. Larry Johnson (aka Larry Pixel), CEO of the New Media Consortium, posted an excellent guest post on the NPIRL blog about artists and their patrons that has stirred up quite a thoughtful conversation. So much so that I am now coordinating a panel on this same topic for SLB6. Would LOVE to get more people in the loop on this one. http://npirl.blogspot.com/2009/06/on-artists-and-their-patrons.html

I'd like to plug our very own http://web3dblog.wordpress.com but we dont have the frequency of output we would like to have right now, so I'd better recommend http://www.sltalk.de/ which is german, very profound and active.

I'm one of the very few Teen Grid bloggers, with occasional articles on TG events, news, and issues. Recent posts include the Teen Relay for Life, and a commentary on the bond between Teens and their grid.

Wanton self-promotion encouraged? At Hypergrid Business (http://www.hypergridbusiness.com) we're all about self-promotion.
Specifically, today, we're promoting OpenSim hosting services: http://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2009/06/opensim-hosting-providers/

On Saturday, on my main blog, I take a break from wanton self promotion and try my hand at promoting other people and things they might wanna check out over the weekend.
Of course on my secondary blog, its all about kissing, sex, and cowboys.
