As my new Tweet of the Day series suggests, Twitter has become one of my favorite mixed reality interfaces, a fluid, light way of keeping in touch with Second Life happenings via the web and mobile phone. (I'm especially addicted to checking Tweet My Gaming's Second Life channel via my iPhone.) I'm always looking for new Residents in the Tweetosphere. Which Second Life Residents' Tweets do you follow most avidly?

Twitter has always been too one sided. More often than not it seems to be an endless stream of inane activities. Plurk seems far more community oriented and actual thought provoking conversations break out in the response threads. Even the lighter exchanges, on plurk, still seem to be considerably more entertaining than than a majority of "tweets."
Plurk is where people go to interact, get the juicy gossip, and find out the real behind the scenes activity on the grid.
Twitter is where people go to talk about themselves. *grins*

But of course one must follow @Secondlie, the single most important Second Life information source. Oh sorry - I meant DISinformation and other hilarity. :)
The occasional browse through these can find lots of new interesting people to follow:

I like what Gauge wrote ... Plurk seems much more inviting to conversations that extend beyond the insularity of Twitter ... Plus, the SL community of Plurk is absolutely vibrant!
