Yes, our community college currently has two sims in SL. We currently offer a credit course in Second Life and are looking at other ways to offer courses in the virtual world.

Well, if you count non-profits as organizations, we certainly do conduct the business of our organization in SL. Two and a half, going on three years. I think we are WAY off LL's radar, though.

I use Second Life for many things in my business. I have advised many of my corporate clients to engage this platform. They are frightened of it. The money that they could save is over the top.
