Todd Selby is a New York photographer renowned for taking photos of artists and other urban hipsters in their homes -- have a look at his site, featuring greats pics of Robert Longo, the original white suit writer Tom Wolfe, and many others -- and fittingly enough, calls himself The Selby. In Second Life, as it happens, he's known as an avatar called TheSelby Bigboots, and as that suggests, he's now looking for Second Life houses to photograph for his blog, for as he tells me through a collaborator, "The virtual home is a pure product of one's creativity."
They are not looking for standard homes, however: "We are trying to find locations that express the owner's individuality and creativity, places that are unique and personal." Sounds like a great project, I just hope The Selby knows about The WindLight and The Kirsten ShadowViewer. You can suggest locations by emailing them to [email protected]. Or post SLurls and descriptions in Comments below, and I'll forward a few. I'm only sorry I had to disassemble my richly appointed SL penthouse with visiting giant Nautilus, designed by Lyra Muse and as it happens, is based on a real New York penthouse.
Hydro Homes is one of the best, as is Dolphin Design too, very unique builds.

I've sent Todd an email of my brick and steel beam loft style house I recently built for LJ Mopp and myself, full of art we have collected inworld, art we love in rl, and some quirky furniture and objects we love, many from mudshake (one of the best stores for houses, furniture, and decor items, beach, mexican and chic grunge styles in particular). Who knew a virtual home could be so fun and make us so happy? :)

This could be really, really good publicity or really, really bad.
Considering what I've seen around town, it's going to be cheesy. With Extra Cheese on the side.

Apartments.....is that really the best SL has to offer....apartments!
Well, we are ALL in trouble if apartments are the sign of great creativity...lololol.
In a world with no climate, no gravity and flying avatars....we REALLY need apartments.

My Southsea Point home is stored away in my inventory, but it's a home that defines me pretty well!
