Chestnut Rau's real life owner is under the weather, so Chestnut's Choices won't be running this week. If you know about excellent Second Life events happening from today until next Wednesday, please post details in Comments. Don't forget to include description, date/time, and SLurl, and include related website links where available, especially to images. And wish Ms. Rau a quick recovery!

IBM2 is currently hosting a full sim Madcow Cosmos extravaganza with sounds by Lorin Tone. Make sure to read the signs in the zoo, they’re very funny. A goblin vs. children village demonstrates the incredible inventive Madcow mind, and a wonderful story about the joy of music with fantastic animal/instruments (you can also buy these as avatars from Lorin’s or Madcow’s shops). Start with the middle path and grab a book before you ascend to around 1300m, Madcow wrote a wonderful book about a little boy learning to love music and the build is amazing. Open till the end Nov. http://slurl.com/secondlife/IBM%202/157/34/23

A 34-year veteran of the Mountain Dulcimer, Avatar is often described as a nod to the traditional with one finger on the Photon Disruptor! Avatar Quinzet will take this simple, traditional instrument to places it never thought it could go...
Per's music is earthy and melodic, played with a sparkling and passionate technique. He uses guitars, balafon, and accoutrements including an advanced looper. Melodies explore inviting and rich musical terrain in a style he calls "world inspired and jazz informed."
