New Citizens, Inc and Dreams speed builds often end in a similar manner. The prims are also set to temporary as well as physical. Of course, the sound track is whatever happens to be playing on the media stream at the moment.

I was able to witness a similar sim demolition not too long ago. It's on the YouTubes here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUu-BRVgRN4&feature=related

Lordfly did the blowing, Crap did the filming and I did the random flying about...

I did something like this with my friends in March this year, when we were closing a project. We put scripts in all buildings in the sim, that (on specified time) would unlink all the prims, make them physical and temporary, and apply a little impulse to them (for better explosions :D). A lot of people came to watch and it was quite laggy - so when the explosions started, avatars were thrown up in the air :D Here's a link to the movie:

(it starts with some memories of the project - the explosions begin at 2:45) :)

Anyone can come blow up a 1,100 prim castle and win the Ghost of Castle Blue game at Phaze Demesnes. Info and video at http://secondlife.mitsi.com
