This Sunday 12/20 at noon will be the virtual world premiere in Second Life of the Indie Music Video Festival. This is a one night festival featuring clips from 20 independent music videos from all over the world. The Festival has been touring for the past year with stops in London, Greece, Scotland, Canada, Los Angeles, Austin and more. You can watch a clip of the best in filmmaking, animation, flash, stop photography and machinima here.
The festival includes videos and live performances by SL artists POL Arida and Winston Ackland and the premiere of SpyVsSpy's "Multiple Worlds" by Slim Girl Fat (Slim Warrior) and Brad Reason (DoubleDown Tandino). The Indie Music Video Festival in SL is presented by WAMtv and Indiespectrum Radio. The Happy Clam tribe gathers each Solstice to celebrate the mystery of Life and Dance the Earth. The culmination of the ritual celebration is the burning of a Wicker Man. 12 top SL DJ's will provide music for the party. 1pm - "A Christmas Carol" Performed Live by the West of Ireland Storytellers
Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" is a holiday classic. This presentation takes place in a London street scene created by Aoife Lorefield complete with gas street lamps, glowing shop windows, and Scrooge & Marley's counting house. The performance will feature a mix of familiar voices, guests, and friends from the WOI community, including WOI Seanchai (Chief Storyteller) Shandon Loring who will reprise his role as "Ebeneezer Scrooge", musician Duncan Bagley, SL poet Corwyn Allen and Dragoness Elegia Underwood. He also offers straight ahead rock along with social and political commentary in his album "Big Bad World".
