Chestnut Rau’s weekly round-up of upcoming SL events…
The Metaverse Shakespeare Company's (MCS) open ended production of Twelfth Night, Act 2 “As you will it!” can be experienced Tuesdays at 6pm and Sundays at 1pm. The 4-sim SL Globe Theatre is the home to this fantastic show. Artistic Director Ina Centaur has crafted an interpretation of Shakespeare's work that conveys the topsy-turvy nature of the story and the period of the writing without being bound by the constraints of a historically-accurate production. Instead,MCS uses the tools available in the virtual world to bring interesting and unexpected twists to the classic material.
MCS spends about a thousand hours rehearsing
and analyzing, building, designing, and applying new technologies to
virtual theatre. For this production
technological innovations include the use of physics, moving
automatons, and visual illusion on the virtual stage. In addition, MSC introduces the concept of “crowdsourced interactive
set design,” which allows anyone to submit a graffiti message or
poster/flyer idea to be plastered onto the “City Wall of Illyria” set. More details can be found here. Don't miss this amazing production by one of Second Life's most prominent cultural organizations. In Shakespeare. [SLurl teleport at this link]

3. Please send related graphics such as screen shots or photo of the event site, if available.
4. Events with artistic, cultural, scientific, political, creative, and/or educational value preferred.

be PG-13. Political and religious events are encouraged, though those

extreme or non-inclusive variety are rarely included.
7. Bonus consideration given to game-related or machinima events, and
