As promised, here's my on-the-scene interview with Jason Spingarn-Koff, director of the acclaimed Second Life documentary Life 2.0, which is currently playing at SXSW in Austin. (It shows at the Alamo Ritz 1 today at 2:30pm Austin time; more screening dates here.) Viewing caveat: this was shot in Flip shaky cam, and even more challenging, after several nights of SXSW parties. But the audio is just fine:
Among the topics covered: How Jason chose Second Life as a project, how he found his main interview subjects (and covered them in both worlds), and whether Second Life really is important and reflective of our modern digital age. Part two coming soon!
Great interview Hamlet. It's interesting to hear the pre-production insights from the director. I have to say though, a static shot from a camera on a tripod would be easier to watch. Probably was an impromptu setup.

Wonderful interview, and really look forward to seeing the film.
You get some tremendous insights too from the Director. The behind the scenes look works for this too.
Well done.
