Magnatunes is also great - they have a very wide selection, if you buy the CD/download the album, then you are granted a licence to use for non profit work. I ended up buying a lifetime membership for something like 295usd - which gives me access to over 10k tracks. This is a great rescource you have pointed to though, thanks for that!

Just so you know, you can use music from Magnatune.com for free for YouTube non-commercial if you have a membership. Great source of unusual music.

Awesome! It makes sense that indie machinima artists would support indie music artists and vice versa. This is way more exciting than free audio swap or bland stock music.
