Here's your weekly hit of sexy Second Life cyberpunk, with smog-filtered photography, jagged editing, and slick post-production by Tera Geraz. But can you guess what it's about? Hit play then read below:
As it happens, what you're watching is more or less a commercial for the content created by Bytegang, a web design studio based in Prague, which maintains a Second Life presence on the side. "It's not really a city," Bytegang's Loki Danger tells me, "We run a couple of brands in-world, selling a lot of various products, and we use the sims as stores." (You'll also notice a club they're about to open.) So pretty much everything you see in the video, swords, clothing, and so on, is made by the studio. Second Life is not really an income source for Bytegang, which works on corporate branding, Unity 3D game development, and other projects, but Loki Dancer wants to keep a presence in SL. "[I] like to invest in-world a lot," he tells me. "We have some long term projects in development for more than a year now in-world, so no, SL is not seen as a source of income. It's a platform we see our future income coming from, so to say."
See how they're doing so far: Direct SLurl teleport link to their sim PREFABRICA, and to Shiva.
Great work!
