Exclusive to NWN, Iris Ophelia's ongoing showcase of all things stylish in SL
This week I'll be reviewing three of my favorite bikinis as part of my three week Summer fashion bonanza, and this first bikini is the only one I didn't have to struggle with placing on this tremendously short list: The Ice Cream Swimsuit by Portia Platthy of FLUFFY [SLurl] is my go-to bikini, even though it doesn't have a lot of the intense shading we often expect. The shading is pretty subtle, and while I think I would like a little more contouring in certain areas, it has enough wrinkles and hem stitching, not to mention a damn adorable pastel print, to make up for it. It comes with green, lavender, or pink straps, with a rock-bottom L$100 price tag, and it just screams cuteness. It really plays nicely into a Japanese "decohime" look (it's no secret that I'm a huge subculture junkie!), so I had to throw the lightened hair and the fancy cellphone into the outfit.
But what exactly do I think is cute enough to bring into the water with this tasty two-piece? Find out after the jump!
You can pick up this cute, dripping beach-ball with poses and a wearable as well as a chair-able version while you're grabbing your yummy bikinis from FLUFFY, but there's another inflatable toy that is just begging to be mentioned. Last week, Vooner Voom of Vooner [SLurl] released a water-toy gatcha machine at his store, which is full of snorkeling gear, water guns, and incredibly accurate looking pool toys. Inner tubes have been a pretty common sight in SL's water for ages (common in quality and in frequency), but this is the first pool toy I've found in SL that's really made me miss the smell of chlorine wet hair. It took me four tries to get this hot pink piece of tail but it was worth it!
Keep your eyes peeled for bikini number two later this week!

Lovely bikini, and such good value - bought i at Fluffy. The shop is very nice but could do with more contents to please a shop-a-holic.
