Chestnut Rau’s weekly round-up of upcoming SL events…
On Saturday 9/11 at Noon soror Nishi's new exhibt Tree of Trees opens. Soror Nishi's work captivated my interest from the first time I saw it early in my SL experience. She uses Blender and Photoshop to make her pieces, preferring to paint textures rather than photograph them. Soror creates trees and landscapes but they are nothing like what you might expect to find in the countryside in the atomic world. Her colorful work is art that is only possible in the creative space of a virtual world.
Music for the Opening Party will be provided by DJ Tasty Hax beginning at noon with a show by DJ DoubleDown Tandino at 1pm. At 3pm the fantastic live band The Born Again Pagans will entertain visitors to this otherworldy, colorful exhibit. I know you will enjoy this stunning exhibit as much as I did, especially with fantastic music as the backdrop to your experience. In IBM Exhibit C. [SLurl teleport at this link]

Zachh is a composer/pianist/keyboardist whose style is a mix of popular, classical, jazz and new age genres. 11am - Discussion About Scenario Planning Techniques
Scenario planning is a set of methodologies for generating views of different possible futures. The outcome of scenario planning is a set of different narratives about how events may unfold in a given context. More risk assessment and modeling than prediction, scenario planning started in military and international relations circles and has become more widespread in large businesses and other areas. How has scenario planning been used, and how useful isthis? There is the problem of coming up with useful models initially of course. But even if you could make a reasonable assumption about what the world wouldbe like in, say, 10 years, would that in fact help you at all? In Prism Lila. [Slurl teleport at this link]
