My man Mitch Wagner of ComputerWorld has Part One of an interview with Philip Rosedale up now. Sample:
"I'm back, and the company is going through a change of direction. We're really regarding the situation as serious," Rosedale said. "We've got a lot more work to do." He added, "That work isn't enjoyable in many cases, or fun." It consists of a lot of debugging and quality control that's tedious and unglamorous, but necessary... Rosedale has encapsulated that [development] philosophy into the slogan, "Fast, easy, fun." (Knowing Philip, the double entendre of that phrase is probably intentional.)
Good read. I like the fact that they are focusing on SL running on lower end hardware. That may seem dumb, but not everyone has a super high powered desktop or laptop and shouldn't really need that in this day and age to run something like SL.
Will be interesting to see what comes of the efforts.
