I'm fairly obsessed with iPhone games, but in an exquisite irony, the iPhone game I probably play the most is called Quince, which originally began as a popular Second Life game made by Aargle Zymurgy. [App link here] It's actually an ideal game for the iPhone too, at least for many occasions: While I love 3D graphics and the awesome sound effects in many of the best iPhone games, there's lots of times it's just not practical to play one of those -- with all their heavy assets, high end games take several minutes to launch and load, and you really can't concentrate enough to play them when you're, say, on a crowded train and your stop is a few minutes away. Because Quince by contrast has no-frills graphics and sound effects, it's a game you can launch and start playing instantly, while not getting so utterly immersed that you're in danger of missing your train stop. (While still being fairly fun and challenging to play.)
Trouble is, while it's an ideal iPhone game in many ways, I don't think I'm very good at it -- my highest score is 40,000, but I usually get much less. (I usually get too obsessed with creating a straight flush, and end up with way less.) If you play Quince on the iPhone or Second Life (where you can wager Linden Dollars, which probably makes for better players), please share some of your strategies here!
I love having this game on my Ipad. I just hope Aargle comes up with an Ipad specific version. I hate blowing up iphone apps if i dont have to. Can Zyngo be far behind?

Apparently there haven't been enough sales to even begin to justify an iPad version...

I'm the person who did the port of the game to iPhone, and in order to do iPad, I need to upgrade my Unity license. Aargle's just shown me the sales numbers and there just aren't enough sales to justify it. Basically we've made maybe $20 in sales. The upgrade to Unity would cost about $300 and that's on top of needing an iPad for testing. :(

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

la qualité et le prix le plus raisonnable par les images montrées et des images en ligne. Supposons que vous êtes étudiant en première année tel accord, vous êtes enclin à être trompés. Avant de faire un achat, il est plus
