Here's one of the new Blue Mars features I've been wanting to blog about, as I watched the team get it in place (I'm consulting for the company): A list of Top Places in the world, based on total user visits. Each of these places brings up its own City Detail page, and if you have the Blue Mars client already installed, clicking GO TO CITY launches Blue Mars and takes you directly to that location. (It's a bit like SLurls, though here they're called Blinks.)

My favorite place in Blue Mars is the waterfall area. It's a great place to have a picnic, however, I think it can only have one person there at a time. It's odd like that.
...Uncanny.
Just like Hitler.

Ok, I gave it another serious try. I want to like the virtual world, I really do. But avatar motion in BlueMars just feels so... rigid. I don't feel any connection to the avatar, I'm just instructing it around, like playing The Sims.

Interesting, Adeon, why do you think that is?
