Soup Radio is a new 24/7 radio stream produced by SL art stalwarts Amy Freelunch, Arahan Claveau, Penumbra Carter, and Khamudy Mannonen, who offer their chatty opinions about the state of metaverse art, interspersed with selected music tracks, which is of course a cool and eclectic mix -- Talking Heads, Ministry, Ornette Coleman, Throbbing Gristle, and so on. (Would love to see more SL musicians up in there!) The direct stream link is here, or you can stream the show from your Second Life land by putting this URL in your parcel action: http://87.117.202.31:8206 .

Awesome!! SO glad you're helping to spread the word about Soup Radio, Hamlet. Arahan Claveau & Amy Freelunch provide the best of the best in intelligent art conversation; their guests are always well-chosen & all of their shows offer a wonderfully diverse and compelling selection of music and audio. Soup Radio is seriously essential listening for anyone who's interested in the arts in Second Life.

Hey Mr Au thanks for this!
There has been a bit of a gap for SL art-centric chat since Brooklyn is Watching and Arthole Radio ceased, and it's such an interesting time right now it's important to document it. We're also trying to make the station appealing to people not that familiar with SL or other virtual worlds, so a lot of the talk and content covers a wide spectrum of topics and is not overly tech based.
I'm absolutely open to SL musicians sending in demos to us, or even someone hosting their own show dedicated to SL music. I've actually spoken recently to Humming Pera from the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse about having them as guests to talk about the history of the group, their influences, and play their own compositions. Hopefully that will happen soon.
The current schedule will play until December 4th when the new shows get released, and thereafter on the first Saturday of every month. I'm considering making an archive on iTunes for past shows to go into, but the only way to hear the newest shows will always be by tuning into the stream.
Thanks for listening!
