This Thanksgiving Day like the previous Thanksgiving Day, I ask a simple open forum question to all who read this blog: Who in the metaverse are you thankful for? Please post in Comments.
I'll start, if sadly: I'm thankful for the community who rallied to support Delinda Dryssen, who fell into a coma last weekend. Though she ultimately and tragically passed away, the community members who spoke and sung to her in Second Life through the laptop by her ICU bed made sure that her last hours were spent with people who loved her. Which in the end is all anyone of us can hope for.
There are many more to be thankful for; hope you share below.
I'll push myself away from the aftereffects of a huge feast for this post.
I am very thankful for Jokay Wollongong's leadership and boundless energy in getting some of us refugees from SL settled down and productive in her new grid. She's a hero to so many of us and an example of selfless assistance to all and sundry who believe in he potential of these new spaces.
I'm thankful to John Lester for continuing his support of educators and making hypergridding a priority so we can visit each other as we scatter to new grids.
I'm thankful to the VWER team, in particular AJ Brooks, Olivia Hotshot, and Kali Pizzaro, for keeping me on task at least once per week and showing what a community of educators can accomplish when working together.
Finally, I'm thankful Viv Trafalgar, my coauthor and partner in Poesque work, for her strong example of pushing beyond what is possible to what might be...and often is.

How could I not be thankful for these 1300 plus days I've spent with some of the most wonderful people in the universe.
Yes, There are days when we say goodbye to those so young...... I remember the great times.
Yes, There are those that try our patience..... I remember the good times.
I'm constantly reminding myself that there are over 6 billion people on our planet and my chances of getting to meet anyone are astronomically small.
If you can read this...you are wealthy beyond imagination...the vast majority of us are living on less than $2usd a day.
How could we not be thankful.....

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are all thankful that Arabella Steadham has been out of the metaverse spotlight so that we do not have to hear her very evil voice anymore.

I am thankful for Plurk which keeps so many SL residents connected when we aren't inworld. I thank Codie and Ali for employing me with the amazing MechanizedLIFE products, and Shauna Skye for letting me contribute to the Moonletters blog. Beyond that, there are too many friends to name without fear of leaving someone out.

I am so thankful for Beebo Brink, who has made my authentic existence in sl possible. She created The Duchess, the most realistic dyke bar and friendly lesbian meeting place in the metaverse, the first place the butch/femme community found a home and still the best. Even before that she created Brazen Women with realistic female shapes, skins with no makeup, relatively inexpensive and so freeing. I would not have been able to look authentic in sl without her, to project myself the way I want to, or to meet the many friends I have, and the amazing women I have shared passion with.
