Here's four of my favorite metaverse-related resolutions posted by readers in this open thread. I like these because they're probably vows that many others might consider taking themselves:
- Arcadia Codesmith: Put some distance between me and my myriad online personas, and spend more time in the real world doing real things with my real family.
- Nexus Burbclave: Try out new worlds and platforms and discover new people and places in the virtual environments that I already inhabit.
- Raven Haalan: Master two techs I don't know yet (currently Mesh and C# OpenSim scripting.)
- Loki: Concentrate on what Second Life can do NOW rather than what it might do in future or what it used to do in the past.
Many more here. And let's check back on December 31, 2011, to see how well these resolutions have been fulfilled (or not.)
I have read many resolutions over the past few days but the one from Loki is the one I take most to heart regarding Second Life. Well said Loki.
Happy New Year Hamlet.
