Iris Ophelia's ongoing review of virtual world and MMO fashion
The Pacific Crisis Fundraiser [SLurl] is one of the first Second Life fashionista fundraising events that's popped up in reaction to the devastation in Japan. Opening its doors only yesterday, it's already raised over a million Linden Dollars. There are nearly 400 designers participating in the Pacific Crisis drive, each selling at least one item with 100% of the earnings going to the designated charity, Americares. I've chosen to highlight some of my favorite 100% donation items, but there's something for everyone's tastes, so be sure to take a look for yourself:

Now on to my personal picks from the benefit:
Aoharu's Gauze Tunic
There's definitely a lot of red present at Pacific Crisis, with many designers drawing inspiration from the iconic red sun at the heart of Japan's flag. For example, machang Pichot of Aoharu has set her gorgeous Gauze Tunic in a vibrant shade of red out for the event. I love the delicate lace trim along the sleeves and the two tiers of this piece, and the fact that the top prims are separate means that it will move much better with avatar animations. I've paired this top with another strikingly red release from Pacific Crisis: Magika designer Sabina Gully has released four of her newest hairstyles in a brilliant shade called PCF Red, including this ponytail named Paisley. These styles are must haves for anyone with hardcore redhead envy.

Gos' Posh Booties
The tremendously talented shoe and accessory designer, Gospel Voom, makes an appearance at PCF with these killer ankle boots, named Posh. If cherry blossom pink doesn't do it for you, you can pick these up in three other colors. Even if you can't pick your favorite color, Gos shoes and boots are staples of a current fashionista wardrobe, so with 100% of the proceeds going to charity there's no reason not to just buy them all!
Pink Fuel's Kumi Skin
One of the most anticipated products available at Pacific Crisis is without a doubt the pre-release Kumi skin by Mochi Milena of Pink Fuel. Mochi's been teasing fans with gorgeous previews of this treasure for months now, so it really should be aknowledged that debuting it for charity is an incredibly generous move on her part. I love the unique look of Kumi's face, so I'll be wearing this skin to death in the coming weeks. Also pictured from PCF is the Hope necklace by Lisanna Lauria of Statique., featuring a sweet little perched bird that's the perfect way to express your inner Forest Girl.
This won't be my only post about fashion for this cause since there are still other fundraising events in the works. For now, be sure to check out Pacific Crisis [SLurl], and if you want to help out even more check out this excellent summary of the situation by Catero Revolution for more ways to help Japan and other affected nations.
