Juicy Bomb has a beautifully illustrated review of Second Life's latest species of artificial pet life: Zooby Monkeys, which you feed, and teach tricks, and when another monkey gets near, will kiss his fellow monkey or offer piggyback (monkeyback?) rides, as you prefer. Another clever feature: "For every trick that your Monkey has learned, it will go up 1 level. There is a maximum of 40 levels, and the minimum it takes is 40 days to learn all of those tricks." The Zooby joins several species of Second Life fish, birds, horses, dogs, cats, turtles, bunnies, and surely many more.

I'm no prude, but why does this woman have to be in a half naked bikini?
This is exactly what gives people the wrong impression about SL and virtual worlds generally.

Half naked means topless or bottomless. That gal be fully clothed.
But to answer your question, it's because many female avatars are dressed by males. :)
Cute monkey.

But the bikini itself is wearing no clothes. It's worse than half-naked; it's a fully naked bikini. Ahhhhgh!
Monkeys hail from tropical climes, where heavy clothing is not only unnecessary but can be actively dangerous to your ability to rid yourself of excess body heat.
That she's wearing anything at all we can chalk up to silly nudity taboos :)

Torley Linden would be proud of that girls bikini. Too bad the monkey wasn't wearing similar colors.

I also saw an ad for pet dodo birds. Dear me, this can't end well.
I'm on the lookout for pet sharks to jump while waterskiing.

Thanks for the link Hamlet!
Hopefully you guys like my review :) The Zooby monkeys are very well scripted and well made. They're so interactive, too!
