Judging by my Top Posts widgets on the right, a lot of New World Notes readers want to know more about avatar physics, a feature recently added to Linden Lab's open source Second Life viewer, and not just to watch avatar breasts jiggle. So here's some resources:
- Click here to get the SL client with avatar physics, from the window labeled "Latest Development Viewers".
Once you got that installed, here's a good video tutorial to enabling avatar physics from Black Opal Designs, and despite the bouncing bosoms, it's actually safe for work viewing:
Now you want to make your bounce fancy? You're in luck:
Click here to get a free Physics layer made by Gorgeous Yongho of leading SL fashion blog Juicy Bomb, who writes about it here.
Finally, Linden Lab has an advanced physics tutorial of their own: Click here to get it. Now there's no excuse for not putting some spring in your Second Life.
Avatar physics are already promoted to the current beta version on http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/?lang=en-US
So no need for the development version. Already in beta.

Thanks for the resource info. I'm pretty happy with the one i blogged about on the 5th (http://poultryreport.blogspot.com/2011/04/bounce-bounce.html) but it is good to try variations. More importantly, try your favorite or frequent anims and tweak accordingly.
