We've seen all the epicly epic Minecraft builds, but to me there's something charming about a smallscale project like this -- presenting Contempercraft:
That's right: a Contemporary Minecraft Texture Mod for Minecrafters who want a stylish and elegant home from which to fend off Creepers. (Click here to get it.) Because who wants to fend off Creepers from a medieval hovel? It was created by "Capseaslug" (his Minecraft handle), who wanted to bring his love of contemporary interior design into Notch's world. As it happens, Capseaslug was before this a pretty well-known content creator in SL's Teen Grid, where he was Reallife Orca. "As far as creating in Minecraft," he tells me, "it's rather limiting once you have played SL. But for someone who hasn't (like my girlfriend) I'm guessing it is quite mind blowing!" Everyone knows chicks dig stylish virtual interior design.
