Pretty neat stuff. Bright futures ahead.

It seems more and more like virtual world devs (LL included) are pushing the concept of no content is good content. Would it be too much to ask for demo makers to show a demo in a region full of content and avatars so we can see how it performs on something other than an empty region with a few plain avatars?

@Ann I agree! Working on it...We'll have a live version out for load testing next week. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ann.

You can check out my own demo Jibe world at http://jibemicro.reactiongrid.com/pathfinderlester

I deliberately keep that world full of content so folks can get a sense of how things run in a typical Jibe setup. And I've blogged about how Jibe holds up with many avatars, too: http://becunningandfulloftricks.com/2011/05/20/summary-of-reactiongrids-iste-sigve-presentation-in-jibe/

Arcadia Codesmith

I wish I had more time to keep up with all the yummy VW codesmithing going on these days. I sense revolution in the air.

Mike McKay

Revolution is definitely in the air. There are so many of us researchers and educators chomping at the bit for creations such as SLOODLE alikes, mobile virtual world voice interaction, reward sytems, social platforms with inworld tracking components, and intuitive object interaction and scripting. What am I talking about? Just wait until these creative vw programming masterminds make that one breakthrough that maintains consistency, stability, and security. Then we will have our revolution.
