Remember that seriously cool, even inspiring spinning 3D globe I saw in the Linden Lab office foyer which represented all SL's concurrent users as glowing points of light? Linden CEO Rod Humble says users will get a version of their own: "We are working on that," he told Daniel Voyager in a Tweet recently. "It's a more detailed version of the SL globe Hamlet saw here at the offices." So stay tuned for that. Wonder if it'll be integrated into Viewer 3, which seems to be coming out soon.

That is way cool, though to quickly see what's going on at a high level I'd hope there would be an option to see a Mercator or other projection with a contour map--maybe integrate it with Google Maps?

Oh this is cool. I agree with Doreen, I'm liking Rod a lot too :)
Now what about a SL map with all the green dots? ;)
