This is a cool Kickstarter project: A 3D biology video game for the Kinect, using Microsoft's motion capture camera to turn basic principles of biology into a full-body educational experience. Watch:
The overall game aspects seem a bit vague at this point, but the basic premise is quite solid -- my strong intuition is adding physicality and 3D graphics to the pedagogical process is full of win. Plus one of the lead developers, Laura Lynn, created an iPad app that won the 2011 NSF Science Visualization Challenge, so I'm inclined to say it's a worthy pledge to consider. They aim to raise $27,500 by the end of this month -- go here to consider pledging.
Interesting from the perspective of the talent and creativity but I wonder a little about the logistics as far as schools are concerned.
