Google Reader is going away in July, as you might have already heard, which means come the Summer, roughly 4500+ New World Notes readers are going to be pretty irked. (NWN Google Reader stats at left.) I'm grateful to everyone reading this blog through Google's soon-to-die RSS reader, but my biggest fear, once Google Reader goes, is those readers might not come back. So I'd like to start promoting an alternative now. Question is, which is best? I'm open to suggestions, especially if they're mobile friendly.
Speaking of my Google Reader stats, it's pretty interesting most of my readers are most active on Mondays and Fridays. For general, from-the-web blog traffic, Wednesdays and Thursdays tend to be largest.

Feedly is too modern and magazine-like after Google Reader LOL so my choice is The Old Reader. http://theoldreader.com/ I have thousands of blogs on my GR but OR imported them all nicely (although it took few days).

Feedly is my favorite reader. It works well and has a nice interface. It's also available for IoS and Android. I follow hundreds of blogs through it.

I'm going with NetVibes, as it's a little similar to Google Reader but takes a little time to get use to at first.

I'm using The Old Reader. Since we were given several months warning, I'm actually transferring my feeds manually, one by one, to bypass the bottleneck caused by the automated transfer option that's been offered. It's slow, but effective.
And The Old Reader interface is quite simple to use and very readable.

I am going to try TheOldReader. But, there are 11k ahead of me importing subscription lists. I've already been waiting 24 hours.
I am currently using NetVibes.

I've been using The Old Reader since I first heard the announcement from Google and immediately bailed from using Google Reader. I love The Old Reader! http://theoldreader.com/
