Janine "Iris Ophelia" Hawkins' ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style
Ami Yamato's latest video might be one of her most impressive (and most endearing) yet. The virtual YouTube personality (who I wrote about earlier this year) usually keeps things pretty tame, walking around the very real outdoors or talking about mundane life details in her equally real apartment. Her newest video, however, is a rather ambitious take on Breaking Bad, pitting Walter White against a rather menacing Miss Yamato in a tense stand-off.
I don't watch Breaking Bad myself, so it's hard for me to say, but if you're behind on the show you may want to skip this one.
[The video's currently only available to view on YouTube, so follow the link in the player above to watch it for yourself.]
Ami's got excellent attention to detail... Or rather her creator does, or... I'm still not sure how we're supposed to talk about her. She's never dropped the veil and revealed her process or her origins, playing the role of YouTube personality perfectly straight but for a wink and a nod here and there. It's a little frustrating not to know absolutely everything about something as mysterious and well done as Ami... But I suppose that only adds to her charms.
You can find lots more from Ami Yamato on her YouTube channel.

Your comments make Ami sound like she's not a real person, but some virtual representation of sorts. I've seen all her vids and she strikes me as very real :)

She sometimes seems that little bit too good to be true, but I guess that's acting for you.
