An official Second Life viewer with an optional post-to-Facebook feature is now available here (as Hitomi Tiponi first told me) and it works pretty well. The "Post to Faceook" option is hidden in the Me menu, which is sort of odd, but once you use it, and connect to your Facebook account through the internal web browser that pops us, the posting process works well enough. Of course, a lot of SLers won't necessarily want to reveal who they are in Second Life on Facebook, but then many of them will enjoy doing so. ("Hey FBers, look at this insane furry robot vampire orgy going on in here!")
In any case, the feature is missing a really important option:
Facebook allows people to use the social network as a page they've created, which is a great way of promoting Second Life content through your avatar name on Facebook without revealing your real life name, and without violating Facebook's terms of service. However, far as I can tell, the SL viewer doesn't have that option. Hopefully that's added to this release candidate, so I can post through my New World Notes page on Facebook.
Please share this post with people who like Facebook and Second Life:

Yeah because people really want their boss, mom, dad, aunts and uncles knowing their avatar is an underage bisexual furry pony with yakuza tattoos ;)
