Janine "Iris Ophelia" Hawkins' ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style
Lately I've been drooling over the Second Life photography of CishCash, who specializes in evocative shots of some of SL's most gorgeous sims. Dramatic lighting and depth of field are both in full effect, as well as outstanding scene composition that could make even a talented RL photographer stop and take note. But this is more than just eye candy...
If you're always on the lookout for the perfect backdrop for your own Second Life snapshots, CishCash's is a great Flickr stream to follow. They share the sim names of course, making it relatively easy to find a location that catches your fancy, but they also have a real knack for rooting out some of the most interesting little spots to be found there. Whether you're looking for cozy cities, sprawling coasts, or lush forests, CishCash's pics is an excellent place to start.
You can check out CishCash's work for yourself on Flickr. Just be warned: This is one of those SL Flickr streams that may give you a bit of an inferiority complex about your own virtual snapshotting skills.
