Janine "Iris Ophelia" Hawkins' ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style
There's no shortage of Halloween-themed haunts (sorry, I had to say it) in Second Life around this time of year, but Havenhollow is certainly in a class of its own. For the second year in a row, Havenhollow has been offering a well-rounded seasonal experience all October, right down to door-to-door trick-or-treating in the uniquely designed sim neighbourhood. There are plenty of secrets and highly photogenic nooks and crannies to discover, so it's easy to understand why it's become as popular with costumed virtual tourists as it has with photographers. it's definitely easy to lose an afternoon there.
If you're interested in a slightly more active and social experience than swinging by on your own, you're in luck: Havenhollow's hosting a full-scale Halloween party tomorrow, October 26th. Check here for all the details or drop by the sim for yourself [SLURL]. It'll all be closed off for the year come November 1st so don't miss your chance to visit, and don't forget to put on your favorite costume when you do... Otherwise you may invite more tricks than treats.
