Lumiya, the 3D Second Life viewer for Android devices (which I'm proud to have as a sponsoring partner of NWN) has a new update which comes with some cool added features: Rich notifications and a sliding chat/contact navigation interface. At left, you can see what rich notifications look like: SL specific info which pops up on your Android phone/tablet homescreen.
The navigation interface, as Lumiya creator Alina Lyvette explains, is useful when you're using another app on your device, get a system notification from Lumiya, and launch it start an SL chat session:
"Tapping Back would then take you back to the other app that was active," she explains, "and [previously] the only way to get to the contact list was to tap on another notification or go through task switcher or open Lumiya from the home screen... clumsy either way, so after playing a little with various options, I've decided to try sliding navigation (somewhat like it is done in Google Hangouts)." You can see what it looks like in the animated .gif Alina handily made here.
Read more about the latest updates on Alina's site. And if you're a Lumiya user yourself, free to post questions for her here, too.

I have never been a big fan of Android Streaming software due to the simple fact that all come with broken connections and streaming is generally terrible. Terrarium TV is a game-changer in the Android program space on account of the attributes highlighted below.
Terrarium TV Apk Free Download out-performs its rivalry in many essential places. The most obvious feature are the blazing fast servers that offer numerous HD streams with the majority of them hosted on Google Drive. When playing with movies and television shows through the Google Drive sources within Terrarium TV, you will experience no buffering whatsoever.
Is Terrarium TV Legal?
According to the official Terrarium TV Website, the program isn't illegal. Their Website says "Terrarium TV utilizes streaming technologies rather than torrenting (P2P)."

If not fulfilled the criticism will assist the Subway with making fundamental changes in their items and administrations. Metro intends to construct great relations with the clients through and by giving charger.

This is a fascinating throwback to 2013! Lumiya was truly ahead of its time, offering Second Life users a way to stay connected to their virtual worlds on mobile devices long before the current 'metaverse' hype. While the app had limitations compared to desktop (like limited graphics and interaction), it highlighted the growing demand for mobile accessibility in virtual spaces—a trend that’s now central to platforms like VRChat, Roblox, and Meta’s vision.
It’s interesting to reflect on how far we’ve come: modern smartphones and 5G could theoretically support much richer mobile metaverse experiences today. Yet, Lumiya’s core idea—untethering virtual worlds from desktops—still feels relevant. I wonder if any current apps or projects are carrying that torch for Second Life specifically, especially with its recent resurgence in user numbers. Thanks for sharing this piece of SL history!

As an Android user who relies on mobile access to Second Life, I found this review insightful. Lumiya has been a game-changer for staying connected via instant messaging and teleporting to locations on the go. I tested it on my LG Nexus phone and agree that the 3D view, while impressive for a mobile app, has limitations—especially with camera controls and object interaction in crowded spaces like dance venues.
The auto-correction feature on Android does alter typing habits, which can feel jarring for those who value precise communication. However, a quick fix (as noted in the comments) is disabling the OS’s predictive text, which restores more natural typing.
While the phone interface is cramped for navigation, I’d love to see how Lumiya performs on a tablet, as the larger screen might enhance the 3D experience. For now, it’s my go-to app for quick IMs and inventory checks, though I wouldn’t recommend it as a full PC substitute. At $3.46, it’s a worthwhile investment for casual use.
Thanks for highlighting both its strengths and limitations—this honest evaluation helps users set realistic expectations!
