Janine "Iris Ophelia" Hawkins' ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style
Whether you're a Whovian, a Trekkie, a Potterhead (that's what they're called, right?) or a fan of any other facet of geekdom, there's a Second Life event opening this weekend with you in mind. The Geeks'n'Nerds Fair will be running from this Sunday right until December 8th, and with designers steadily finishing work on their fair exclusives we're already getting a peek at what's in store.
So far it seems like Doctor Who is among the most popular themes, including the adorable mismatched Raggedy.Man Heels pictured above from fri.day. Given that it's the Doctor's 50th anniversary (he's even got his own Google doodle today) his popularity as a source of inspiration for these items shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but if the Doctor's not your cup of tea there's plenty more to choose from. Poses inspired by Adventure Time; dresses with classic Star Trek flair; manicures styled after Harry Potter, Once Upon a Time, and even The Avengers... Although many designers have yet to reveal what they'll be selling at Geeks'n'Nerds Fair, you can visit the event's Flickr group to get a preview of what's in store, and check out the event's blog for a complete list of participating designers.

Wow. No SLURL on this article, on the event blog, no finding in Destination Guide? Is this one of those fashion fairs that people just love to say they're working on but nobody can find a LM to go to it? If they do, they have worked damn hard to find it.
