Janine "Iris Ophelia" Hawkins' ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style
If you're not quite ready to let go of the Halloween spirit, there's a newly opened sim filled with surprising details and limited gifts that you might want to see for yourself.
Nuville Horrors was created by Anya Ohmai and Suetabulous Yootz, RL sisters who are a SL creative force to be reckoned with. Though they generally specialize in wearable designs, they're also incredibly talented builders... And it shows.
Here's the spooky new sim's premise:
It seems like the town gates of Nuville [have] been restored, which means YOU get to come join in the fun! Take a ride of your SLifetime with the Nuville Express. Our driver will take you down a scenic route, welcoming you to the spooky town of Nuville! Your final destination is a 13th floor apartment, why don't you take your time and knock on each and every door?
Our tenants are feeling awfully generous this full moon...
Nuville is almost like a Second Life theme park. L$100 will buy you admission for twelve hours, or you can join the Nuville Horrors Group for L$800 for unlimited access. Lest you think Nuville's not worth the price of admission, the horror-inspired sim experience revolves around a scenic tour of the area by bus, while the sim's key landmark (a crumbling apartment complex) is peppered with 50 unique gifts made by the talented duo. Group members will receive even more gifts during the sim's 3 month lifespan.
Nuville Horrors will be open until February 2nd, 2014. Find all the details on Anya Ohmai's Flickr page.
