The Verge has a good post on the number of virtual reality controller systems that have appeared in great part because the Oculus Rift has proved there's a market for VR. One of them is impressively depicted in the video above: The STEM System, which had a successful Kickstarter a couple months ago. While it's not clear which of these systems will become the gold standard for VR, Oculus Rift founder Palmer Luckey says something very interesting:
"There are things out there that are cool, but there are other things I’ve seen, things that are not necessarily public facing yet, that are much cooler."
And while he's certainly seen way more than I have, let me add: So have I, and can't wait to write about them more here. For now, I will say this: 2014 is going to be a milestone year for VR.

I find it odd that the ultimate 'controller', the one everyone will want, is still being ignored; The VR glove.
In Virtual Reality we'll only need our hands!
