Explore Second Life is the name of a highly active Flickr group conceived by SL bloggerista supreme Ms. Strawberry Singh, and it's an excellent SL group indeed, offering a vast compendium of beautiful and interesting places in Second Life conveyed by screenshots, with map/SLurl links attached to each, as submitted by group members. My only complaint is Flickr is owned by Yahoo! and so you have to have a Yahoo! account to access all of Flickr's social features, which for personal reasons I find a massive pain, but assuming you're already on Flickr, Explore Second Life is a Flickr group you want to join.
Hat tip via member Ziki Questi, who recently added this breathtaking location pic to the group, and blogs about it here.

Flickr really is THE PLACE to visually see what's up in SL beyond one's own circles.
There's a massive amount uploaded from SL there everyday. A lot of it is merchant spam - but if you cultivate your filters right you can get great images and find out about a lot of places and communities you might otherwise have missed.

I login to Flickr only with my Google account and all social features are available. A Facebook account should also work.

I used to login with my google account but later , technical problems made me go back to the old yahoo one!
And i agree with Cat on this, is for sure the best place to see, with both eyes, what Second Life can offer!

Flickr is the shiznit! Practically every subcommunity in SL uses it and has been using it for years. Heck, the SL fashionista community heavily promoted flickr to each other in the old days. Heck I even have a Flickr Pro account just because another Fashionista told me that it was a reasonably good deal.
You can even use Facebook/Google to join it now.

And do not forget, is so important that at least Firestorm and ukando (probably much more tpv's as well) offer a direct upload to Flickr (dont think official Ll viewer offers that option but i can be wrong!)
