Janine "Iris Ophelia" Hawkins' ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style
If you're itching to hear more from interactive fiction maven Emily Short on the recently revived Versu platform (or her newly published IF baby, Blood & Laurels,) you'll want to take some time out of your day to give this a listen. The latest episode of virtual world documentarian Draxtor Despres' podcast, The Drax Files Radio Hour, has a lengthy interview with Short discussing everything from her current work to some intriguing speculation about the future of game AI and NPCs in Second Life. (Full disclosure: Draxtor's World Makers machinima series is sponsored by Linden Lab, though his podcast doesn't seem to be.)
Head over to Draxtor's website to listen for yourself and, in case you missed it, read what Short told me last week about Versu's triumphant return.
Iris Ophelia (@bleatingheart, Janine Hawkins IRL) has been featured in the New York Times, and has spoken about SL-based design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and with pop culture/fashion maven Johanna Blakley.
