In my Polygon profile of AM Radio, I compared his Second Life art to Terrence Malick’s 1978 classic Days of Heaven, and in case you haven't seen that film (you really should), this still above is an example of what I mean.
Without revealing the story, much of the movie takes place in a wheat field, and most of it was famously shot during "magic hour", when the daylight is loveliest. I actually don't recall asking AM if he was inspired by Malick, especially Days (and to a certain extent, his much more recent movie with Brad Pitt and dinosaurs, Tree of Life). But if you admire AM Radio's work, chances are you'll be moved by Malick's movies too. (Here's Days of Heaven on Netflix.)
Update, 3:35pm: Via Facebook (it's still sort of surreal for me to talk with him that way), AM Radio's RL owner Jeff Berg has this to say about Days: "I have never seen it, but many folks have advised me to watch it!"
The Far Away still via Western University.
