We're now accepting Media Partnerships with select companies, organizations, and individuals who want to promote their Second Life content on New World Notes, the oldest and largest blog with a primary focus on SL since 2006. (Or 2003, if you're counting its launch while I was contracting for Linden Lab.) Rates are negotiable, with discounts for smaller brands that Iris and I admire, and we do take Linden Dollars. If you'd like to discuss this opportunity, contact me by IMing me at Hamlet Au, or via e-mail to wjamesau at gmail dot com.
Why New World Notes? According to SimilarWeb, NWN got 200,000 visits last month, with heavy traffic from SL-centric sites like Plurk and SLUniverse. Far as results, the screencap at left shows traffic from a recent three month Media Partnership, with about 400 clickthroughs from NWN to the Partners' SL Marketplace page, and about 100 to their web landing page. (Another campaign with another Partner got clickthroughs upwards of a 1000 in three months.)
A typical partnership looks like this:
- A permanent 125x125 ad during an TWELVE WEEK PERIOD (displayed under the "NWN Partners" section at the top left column)
- A weekly post I'll write linking readers to your site and SL Marketplace page, for 12 posts in all.
- One post I'll write announcing the partnership (and linking to your site) at start of Partnership
- Links on my main social media channels weekly during the twelve week period on Twitter (about 5000 followers), Plurk (about 1000 followers) and Facebook (about 1000 fans of the NWN page).
But I'm open to other ideas! Hit me up at Hamlet Au, and let's talk.

Are these entries you type in the ordering labeled in some way? For example, the bottom "ad" "sponsored text" or similar. This is routine and legal requirement in many countries such as Sweden. We, journalists, media owners and politicians believe that sponsored text resembling news material damages the credibility of the media and that readers may be led to believe that that particular product spoken of giving added value to the equivalent products

Of course, all posts are designated as sponsored; it's important readers see they are different from NWN mainline editorial.
