Second Lifers For Life, as the name suggests, is a private Facebook group for Facebook users who originally met in Second Life. Founded by SL oldtimer Phoenix Psaltery, I just got an invite from Eggy Lippman, who I met in-world (holy crap), back in Second Life's beta days from early 2003, when the world and its avatars looked like what you see above, it was still marketed as a game, and even came with leaderboards -- a more innocent time, you could say. While the group is full of crusty oldbies -- and a handful of Lindens! -- it doesn't seem to be blocked based on rez date. Go here to request access.
And if you want an invite from me and we're Facebook friends, please IM me through the New World Notes page on the Zuckerberg network. I'll invite as many SLers as I can before I get overwhelmed (assuming I do).

Well, nice but Facebook recently deleted (hid?) every post, picture, comment on other's streams, etc that I made on my avatar Pen name, so they are not so SL friendly from what I can see. I'm not the only one and the only option is to send two forms of RL personal ID per their list, which many have done and are now using their RL photos and names. ~sigh~

Thanks for the nod, Hamlet. No, there's no age restriction nor requirement; all we ask is that you were or are a Second Life resident and that you want to hang out with some crazy people that love to remember the glory days when we were sure SL was going to be the Next Big Thing.

It's great seeing a lot of smiling faces from bygone days. Second Lifers for Life FTW!
