Seen nearly 150,000 times, this is the one of the most watched Second Life machinimas of the last 30 days:
Yes, 6 minutes trolling SLers who are playing Second Life as a roleplaying game by a guy who plays Second Life as a griefing simulator. There are literally dozens of videos like these put on YouTube every week, and it's not difficult to understand why: In the era of PewDiePie and the massive Let's Play phenomenon on YouTube, Second Life is a reliable resource for juvenile clown comedy directed at people who, as this guy notes, "take this game far too seriously."
(Which by the way, is yet another reason why it's hard to take the "Second Life is not a game!" argument very seriously. If that was really the case, videos like these wouldn't even be possible.)

Despite that many views he already has, I’m sure he’ll gladly take the additional promotion.

It is a game in that it isn't real and cannot be real.
It is not a game in that real money and real people involved.
It is a virtual world where people can do whatever they wish. Sadly, some people lack the imagination or gumption to be anything more than a pest.

SL is a platform of course. Games are the main use of the platform but there are others such as music. I go to live concerts and I fight the pirate scourge of SL's seas. These are very different activities.

It's ironic when I look at this YouTube video and read the YouTube comments and think "gawd, these trolls desperately need to get a Second Life because their first one is really lame."
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
