Second Life has a channel on YouTube Gaming, a new YouTube service that's seen as a direct competitor to the massive Twitch/live game streaming phenomenon. (Hat tip Ciaran, who has some thoughts.)
Fittingly (if annoyingly), the most popular videos on the Second Life channel now are the ever-popular SL griefer videos loved by the Twitch crowd, or at least the twerpier subset of that audience. (See above.) I've said it before, and I'll say it again, just more emphatically: Now that Second Life is a popular griefing target for "Let's Play" video creators, it's more crucial than ever to start creating "Let's Play" videos with more emphasis on great SL content, less SL dickwads.
What to I mean? Here's a good role model I blogged about last month:
And if you do upload a good "Let's Play" video to the SL channel, send me the link!
It's hard to create good videos when LL ignores paying customers and allows the griefing to continue unchecked.

No need to be mad when people are just having fun on the game. That's what it's for.

Trep. Yep! Plus I am in SL for my own reasons. If I want to make a SL video I'll make a SL video. I don't see where I owe LL a thing except the stupid amount of cash I already pay monthly.
If ll wants a cool video, ll can go make such a video. Personally the only game videos I've cared for are the Prophunt games. I rather doubt anyone is going to watch me building in my home or out dancing with my group, which is what I do nowdays. I'm not here to act as unpaid entertainment for others.

And of course if the kiddie trolls pale you can always go searching for people being beheaded. Mind you, SL being the creative space it is... :)
