Ray Kurzweil thinks we're going to upload our consciousnesses into a future version of Second Life, so it makes sense that a video devoted to his ideas and others associated with transhumanism should be shot in Second Life - watch:
As longtime NWN readers probably guessed by now, the machinima is by Tutsy Navarantha, a master at assembling a montage of dazzzling SL images underlying some very potent ideas, mixed to Indian-inflected electronica.
(In real life, Tutsy's a Parisian living in India.) Personally I agree with those who think the Singularity is far and maybe we don't really need it, and probably shouldn't want it, but I'm definitely much more receptive to the arguments when they're presented as beautifully as Tutsy does.

Most of us are at some point of neo-transhumanism now. Granted, these kinds of binary experiences are extreme, and possibly not on the horizon for close to 100 years. But they are coming.
