We talk about VR all the time, but it suddenly occurred to me that I haven't asked the most obvious and important question of this blog's readers:
"Personally" is the most important qualifier -- I'm not asking if you're intellectually interested, in this case, but interested enough to spend a few hundred dollars on the technology out of your own pocket. Results posted next week!
And as always, please discuss in Comments - passionately, but civilly.
Please share this post:
If you're in SL, you're already in VR.

I am so pumped for VR in 2016.
When I'm up for an upgrade on my cell phone, I'm trading in my iPhone for a Samsung Galaxy and a GearVR. I know I could wait for a while and Apple will eventually release their own headset, but I want to early adopt on mobile VR, even if the tech isn't 100% yet.
I also hope to buy an Occulus or HTC Vive next year when consumer versions come out.

I'm seconding what Jo said. SL is VR, and I don't know why we should start using "VR" to mean *only* 3D immersive virtual environments.

Jo and cygnoir are correct: as SL customers we are already using VR, only in 2D. For me that's plenty enough to immerse in, sometimes even too much. That's why I don't use voice for example. And wearing such a Oculus thing on my noggin? Pleeze, my husband would divorce me on the spot. :o
