UNCANNY VALLEY (2015) from 3DAR on Vimeo.
Perfect (if freaky!) viewing for the weekend, "Uncanny Valley" is a beautiful and disturbing look at a future when virtual reality has become mass market. You may think "Oh I get where they're going with this" in the first few minutes, but I bet you don't.
I really like the therapist who specializes in treating VR addicts. I like that that's just one of the few of many ideas conveyed by "Uncanny Valley". Which is cool, because it's being turned into a feature film.

That was - rather good. Even if nothing particularly new if you read enough pulp sci-fi (the trickcyclist was a neat addition) but well done, especially the more or less expanded multi shooter.
Note to vr devs - finally a rig I would actually wear - who knew nostrils could be useful.

Very cool but there is one thing that does not make sense to me, even fiction must have some cause-effect logic - If these guys spent EVERY hour playing, how and where do they get the money to have a top internet connection, continuous games access and food & drinks ?

Nicely done, shades of Ender's Game and Surrogates (which uses remote controlled robot soldiers)

Knowing what we know at the end, maybe the government and/or megacorporations pay them to be in VR (without revealing the catch)?

There is no more video.
Probably some readers of this blog will complain that it's the fault of Linden Lab. :)

It's all Ebbe's fault. No wonder if you let a former phone sex company CEO run... Oh wait, erm, no.
