Virtual "Pinky" - first page on UK Google, third image on the third row
An Internet mystery solved! Yesterday I wondered why people keep Googling my virtual reality blog in search for an 18th century painting, and a bloke named "Shirtbloke" pointed me to this page on UK Google.
"It's not the first result but it stands out on the page," he noted. And yep, searching "pinky painting" on UK Google display as a top listing on the first page a virtual version of a real life painting -- sending searchers down a rabbit hole of avatars, virtual currency, and the occasional robot vampire furry. And to those confused and possibility disturbed searchers, I say: You're welcome.

Google image search sometimes throws up some odd stuff. It used to be that a search for "Wheatfield Photo" would turn up an image of A.M. Radio's Wheatfied as the third result. Not any more though. Which is a shame.
